One of the most rewarding ways to increase your musical potential is through taking private lessons. As a clarinetist and music educator, I would love to help you reach your musical goals. I enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities, and my teaching philosophy centers around helping students to establish healthy habits that will help them achieve in music and in life.
Beginner Lessons

These lessons focus on building the fundamentals of clarinet playing and the foundations of music literacy.
Perfect for late elementary or early middle school beginning students (4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades).

Intermediate Lessons

These lessons focus on refining clarinet fundamentals and expanding the student’s technical abilities.
An increased emphasis is placed on music theory and exploring expressive musical concepts.
Students will begin to work on etudes and longer musical pieces.
Perfect for late middle school, early high school students (8th, 9th, and 10th grades) and adult beginners.

Advanced Lessons

These lessons focus on developing advanced clarinet technique and performance capabilities.
Emphasis is placed on mastering standard clarinet repertoire and learning advanced music theory concepts.
Recommended for high school students who are considering pursuing music in college.
Perfect for late high school students (11th and 12th grades) and adult amateur clarinetists.

Private Study Policies and FAQs

One free, 15 minute, virtual, consultation is offered to each prospective student. During the consultation we will determine if clarinet lessons are right for the student and which lesson option is the correct one based on the students goals and level of experience.

There are a few different ways to schedule and pay for lessons, so please check out the Studio Handbook for a detailed description.

At the first lesson of the session or month.

Check, credit/debit card, or Zelle.

Lessons will not be rescheduled unless the instructor is given an advanced notice of at least 24 hours. Exceptions will be made in the case of illness or family emergency.
If a lesson needs to be rescheduled due to instructor absence, families will be notified immediately, and rescheduling will take place promptly.
A completed copy of this contract is due at the start of the first lesson.
